Juney answers at the wrong times
What to do if Juney answers when you expected voicemail, or the other way round.
If Juney is answering — or not answering — at times you didn't expect, the cause is almost always your schedule settings, not a fault. Work through these in order.
1Check your time zone
Go to Settings → Time zone and make sure your city is right. Juney uses this to work out when your business hours actually fall — if it's wrong, everything below it will be wrong too.
2Check your hours
Open the Juney tab → under What she knows, tap Hours. If every day shows Closed, or no hours have been set at all, Juney can't tell when you're open — she answers every call as normal, whatever Who answers says.
3Check Who answers
Open the Juney tab → under Voicemail & after hours, tap Who answers, and check which option is selected: Juney, always; Juney during business hours; Juney after hours only; or Voicemail, always.
If you pick a scheduled option without a time zone or hours set, the screen itself shows a warning:
- "Set your time zone first (Settings → Time zone) so she knows when your hours are."
- "Set your business hours first — every day is closed right now."
Fix whichever one's showing, then come back and save your choice.
4Check for an override
On the Home tab, tap Change who answers. If Juney answers or Voicemail is selected here, it overrides your schedule completely until you change it back. Choose Follow my schedule to return to normal.
Good to know
- If a "voicemail" call sounded like a normal conversation, that's expected. Juney still picks up and runs a short message-taking script — name, callback number, what they need — instead of a full conversation. She doesn't quote prices, book jobs, transfer calls or text links on that call.
- With no schedule set, Juney fails safe: she keeps answering normally rather than going silent.
