Voicemail & after hours
Choose who answers your calls
Decide when Juney answers and when callers get your voicemail.
- Open the Juney tab.
- Under Voicemail & after hours, tap Who answers.
- Choose one:
- Juney, always — she answers every call, day and night.
- Juney during business hours — outside them, callers get voicemail.
- Juney after hours only — in business hours, callers get voicemail.
- Voicemail, always — she never answers, everyone gets voicemail.
- Tap Save.
The Today strip
A 24-hour strip at the bottom of the screen shows exactly when she answers (green) and when callers get voicemail (grey), with a marker for the current time and hour labels along the bottom (12 am · 6 am · 12 pm · 6 pm · 12 am).
Before you use a scheduled mode
Pick Juney during business hours or Juney after hours only and a Business hours row appears — tap it to jump straight to the Hours editor. Both scheduled modes need your time zone and business hours set first:
- "Set your time zone first (Settings → Time zone) so she knows when your hours are." — shown if no time zone is saved.
- "Set your business hours first — every day is closed right now." — shown if no day has hours set.
If either is missing when you save, Juney answers every call as normal, whatever mode you picked.
What "voicemail" means with Juney
There's no missed call — she still picks up every time, but runs a short message-taking script instead of a normal conversation:
- She plays your voicemail greeting first, replacing her usual greeting.
- She listens, then asks for the caller's name, a callback number and what they need, one question at a time. She repeats the number back to confirm it.
- She closes with exactly: "Thanks, I've passed that on to your business — they'll be in touch." and ends the call.
While taking a voicemail, she won't book jobs, quote prices, transfer calls or text links — all of that is switched off for that call.
