Juney vs Rosie: price, booking and who each one suits

Rosie is an AI receptionist with a web dashboard and a native phone app, sold in the US and Canada. Its entry plan is $49 a month for 250 minutes, and going over your minutes moves you up to the next plan. Juney is an AI answering service (an AI receptionist) that you set up and run in a phone app: $49 a month for 150 minutes, then top-ups of 100 minutes for $20.

The short answer: pick Rosie if callers speak Spanish, or you take up to about 125 calls a month and only need messages and booking links. Pick Juney if you want calendar booking and transfers for $49, or your busy months would push you past Rosie's 250 minutes.

Which should you pick?

Pick Rosie if…

  • Callers speak Spanish. Rosie answers in English and Spanish on every plan; Juney speaks English only.
  • You take up to about 125 short calls a month and don't need booking or transfers. Rosie's $49 plan has 250 minutes against Juney's 150: at 125 two-minute calls it's $49 and Juney $69.
  • You want web chat on your site too. Rosie includes a website chat widget on every plan, and website texting is a $50-a-month add-on. Juney answers calls only.
  • You book in Calendly, Acuity or Appointlet. On its $149 plan Rosie books into those or Google Calendar; Juney books into Google Calendar only.

Pick Juney if…

  • You want booking and transfers without the $149 plan. Juney books into Google Calendar and puts urgent callers through for $49; Rosie's $49 plan texts a booking link instead and has no transfers.
  • Your busy months vary. Past 150 minutes you add Juney top-ups of 100 minutes for $20: 130 two-minute calls cost $89. The same month moves Rosie to $149, and you stay on that plan until you change it back.
  • You want an app-controlled wait before the AI answers. Juney uses all-calls forwarding and Ring me first; Rosie can receive all forwarded calls; to answer first, use carrier no-answer forwarding, and your carrier sets how long the phone rings.
  • Your business is in the UK or Australia. Juney works with business numbers in the US, UK, Australia and Canada; Rosie's terms allow use in the US and Canada only.

How do Juney and Rosie differ?

Both cost $49 to start, answer around the clock, have a native app for iPhone and Android, and offer different ways to answer calls yourself. They differ in what that $49 includes, what happens in a busy month, and where you set them up.

What the $49 plan includes

Rosie's Professional plan ($49) gives 250 minutes, two message scenarios, booking links sent by text, spam detection and a website chat widget. Calendar booking, warm and live transfers and texting callers during the call start on Scale ($149, 1,000 minutes); Growth ($299, 2,000 minutes) adds transfers that try several numbers and a specialist to set you up.

Juney's $49 plan gives 150 minutes with everything on: Google Calendar booking, moving and canceling, putting urgent callers through, a booking link by text during the call, and scenarios for each kind of call. So it's fewer minutes, but booking and transfers come with them.

Moving up a plan against topping up

Rosie rounds each call up to the next minute and emails you as you near your limit. If you go over, it moves you up to the next plan at that plan's price, so one minute over 250 turns $49 into $149, and you stay on Scale until you move back. Upgrades take effect at once; downgrades wait for the next billing cycle.

Juney doesn't move you up. Past 150 minutes you buy top-ups of 100 minutes for $20 in the app, which don't expire, and calls you answer yourself, or from numbers you've blocked, don't count. That keeps Juney at or below Rosie's price from about 125 to 325 calls a month; from there to 500 calls, Rosie's Scale plan costs less ($149 against Juney's $169 at 350 calls). Past 500, Rosie moves you up to its $299 plan and Juney costs less again until about 675 calls.

Where you set it up

Both can be set up on a phone. Rosie learns your business from your website and Google Business Profile, then you confirm the details and add FAQs, in its web admin or, as its App Store listing now offers, in a guided setup in the app; it says setup can take as little as 10 minutes. Its app also covers a call and text inbox, recordings and summaries, and changing your plan. Juney has no web dashboard at all: she reads your website, you check what she learned, you call her yourself to hear her, then you follow on-screen steps to forward your calls, all in the app.

Answering first yourself

Rosie uses your carrier's conditional forwarding if you want to answer first; the carrier sets the wait. Rosie's help warns that Live Voicemail can prevent unanswered calls reaching Rosie and says Xfinity users cannot change the wait (as of October 2026). With Juney, every call is forwarded and Ring me first rings you in the Juney app for about 15 seconds. You can choose Straight to Juney instead. Personal calls to the same number are forwarded too, and you answer in the app.

How do the bills add up?

At 30 and 75 two-minute calls Rosie is $49 and Juney $49, but Rosie's plan at that price doesn't book or transfer; with both, Rosie is $149. At 150 calls (300 minutes) Rosie moves up to $149, and Juney is $89: the 150 included minutes plus two $20 top-ups.

Rosie gives two months free on annual billing. AI Answering Service Pricing Compared runs the same three volumes across 11 services.

How do you switch from Rosie to Juney?

  1. Start a trial before you cancel. Rosie stays on your line while you try Juney free for 7 days; the 50 included minutes are enough to test bookings and transfers, which Rosie's $49 plan doesn't do.
  2. Set Juney up in the app. Link your website, check her answers, and call her yourself to hear how she handles a booking and an urgent job.
  3. Replace your forwarding. If you set conditional forwarding codes for Rosie, cancel them, then forward all calls to Juney with the app's steps for your carrier. Choose Ring me first if you want a chance to answer.
  4. Move the forwarding before you cancel Rosie. One App Store reviewer (October 2026) wrote that after canceling, calls still went to Rosie's line and callers heard a subscription message for days.
  5. Cancel in Rosie's admin. There's no contract or cancellation fee, and access runs to the end of the billing period.

Frequently asked questions

What happens if I go over my minutes on Rosie?

Rosie moves you up to the next plan at that plan's standard price, after warning emails, and you stay there until you change it back (October 2026). On the $49 plan that means $149. Past its 150 minutes, Juney sells top-ups of 100 minutes for $20 instead.

Does Rosie's $49 plan book appointments?

No. It texts callers a booking link. Booking straight into Google Calendar, Calendly, Acuity or Appointlet starts on the $149 Scale plan. Juney books into Google Calendar on its $49 plan.

Is Rosie cheaper than Juney?

Up to 75 two-minute calls a month both cost $49, and Rosie's plan has more minutes but no booking or transfers. With two-minute calls in October 2026, at 150 calls Rosie is $149 and Juney $89. From about 325 to 500 calls Rosie's Scale plan costs less, and past about 675 its $299 plan does.

Do Rosie and Juney both have phone apps?

Yes. Rosie's iPhone and Android app covers setup, calls, texts, recordings and settings, alongside a web dashboard. Juney's app is the whole product: signup, setup, forwarding and every call, with no web dashboard.

Can Juney answer in Spanish like Rosie?

No. Juney speaks English only, with an American, British or Australian voice. Rosie answers in English and Spanish on every plan.
