When she answers

Stop spam calls

Turn on Smart spam detection, and Juney politely ends robocalls, scam calls and sales calls. They don't use your minutes.

Last updated

With Smart spam detection on, Juney ends a call only when she's sure it's spam:

  • a recorded message or an automated menu ("press 1"),
  • a scam, like threats of a fine, a demand for payment, or a prize,
  • someone selling something to your business.

She says one short goodbye and hangs up. She never argues, and she never tells the caller they're spam.

When she isn't sure, she keeps the call, takes a message and marks it Possible spam? for you to check. Customers, suppliers, job applicants and wrong numbers all stay on the call.

Calls she ends as spam don't use your minutes, and the caller doesn't get a follow-up text.

Turn it on

  1. Open the Juney tab.
  2. Under When she answers, tap Spam detection.
  3. Turn on Smart spam detection. You'll see "Smart spam detection on".

It's off until you turn it on. Turn it off the same way, and Juney answers every call as before.

Help her learn

With it on, Help her learn lists the calls she wasn't sure about. For each one, tap Yes if it was spam or No if it wasn't, and she treats calls like it the same way next time. Tap a call to open it first. Home can also ask "Was this a spam call?" about one call at a time: tap Yes, No or Not now.

Good to know

  • She doesn't screen your Excluded contacts, callers you've marked Not spam, or calls going to voicemail.
  • To make sure she never answers a number at all, add it to Blocked numbers. See Block a number.
  • Calls she ends still show in Calls, tagged Spam. See Read a call.
  • "Couldn't save. Try again.": the switch didn't save, usually because there's no connection.
