Calls aren't reaching Juney

What to do if calls to your business number aren't reaching Juney.

Call forwarding is set by your phone carrier, not by Juney, so almost every problem here comes from the forwarding setup on your phone rather than from Juney herself. Start with the quickest check, then work through the causes below in order.

Quick check

Ring your business number from a different phone.

  • Juney answers: forwarding is working — your problem is something else, not this.
  • Your phone rings, or it goes to your own carrier's voicemail: forwarding isn't switched on yet. Keep reading.

Test it from the app

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Under Your line, tap Forwarding.
  3. Tap Test again.

Juney places a quick, silent test call to your business number and checks that it reaches her. This takes about 30 seconds, so keep the app open — if you leave, you'll get a notification with the result.

  • "Forwarding verified — she's reaching your calls": you're done.
  • "Calls aren't reaching us yet": see below.

You can test your line up to 3 times a day. If you've already used your 3 checks, a new test shows You've checked enough for today instead — your forwarding may be fine. Wait until tomorrow, or ring your business number from another phone to check by hand. If you see We couldn't run the check, the screen says why (for example, your line isn't set up yet).

If you see "Calls aren't reaching us yet"

This means the test call didn't reach Juney — forwarding probably didn't switch on. Juney shows three tips, and two buttons: Test my line again and Get help from us.

  1. Switch it on from the right phone. Your carrier only accepts forwarding changes from the line being forwarded — make sure you're using the phone with your business number on it, not any other phone.
  2. Check the number is exactly your Juney number. One wrong digit sends calls nowhere.
  3. Prepaid plans often can't forward. Check with your provider that your plan can forward calls.

Switch it on the right way

Open your iPhone's Settings → Apps → Phone → Call Forwarding, turn it on, and paste in your Juney number exactly. If you don't see Call Forwarding at all, tap Don't see Call Forwarding? in Juney for your carrier's code instead.

Use your carrier's code directly

Go to Settings → Your line → Forwarding to see your code with your Juney number already filled in.

Bell, Virgin Plus and Lucky Mobile (Canada) and Tesco Mobile and Lycamobile (UK) have no code at all — use your phone's own call forwarding menu instead.

After you switch it on

It can take a few minutes for your carrier to apply the change. Wait a few minutes, then test again.

Good to know

  • Prepaid plans: many can't forward calls, including Telus prepaid (Canada) and Tesco Mobile or Lycamobile (UK).
  • VoIP numbers: carrier codes don't work for VoIP services such as Aircall, RingCentral or OpenPhone — set up forwarding in your VoIP dashboard instead.
  • Landlines use a carrier code too, dialled from the phone with your business number on it.
