Switch your line on

Forward your business number to Juney so she can start answering your calls.

Juney answers calls through call forwarding. You tell your phone carrier to send calls from your business number to your Juney number. Your number doesn't change, and nothing is ported or moved.

Once forwarding is on, every call to your business number goes to Juney. Your own phone won't ring for those calls.

Before you start

  • Use the phone that has your business number on it. Your carrier only accepts forwarding changes from the line being forwarded.
  • Have your carrier's name handy. Juney shows the right steps for it.

Switch it on

  1. If you didn't finish this during setup, go to Home and tap Switch my line on. Juney uses the business number you gave her during setup.
  2. Choose your carrier from the list for your country, or It's a landline / I use a VoIP service.
  3. Tap Copy number (it shows "Copied" for a couple of seconds). Open your iPhone's Settings → Apps → Phone → Call Forwarding, turn it on and paste the number in. If your iPhone doesn't have a Call Forwarding setting, tap Don't see Call Forwarding? in Juney. This switches to a carrier code instead, with Copy code. Paste the code into your Phone app's keypad and tap call.
  4. Back in Juney, I've done it turns on once you've copied the number or code. Tap it, then tap Start verification.

If your carrier has no forwarding code — a VoIP service, Bell (and Virgin Plus, Lucky Mobile), Tesco Mobile, Lycamobile or Telus Prepaid — Juney shows your carrier's own instructions and your Juney number with Copy number instead. Set forwarding up the way your carrier or VoIP dashboard says, forwarding all calls to that number, then tap I've done it.

Check your plan first. Not every plan can forward calls, and prepaid plans often can't. Ask your provider before you rely on it — the line check that follows will tell you whether calls are actually reaching Juney.

Each of these screens has an I'll do this later skip link if you need to come back to it.

Check it's working

Juney places a quick, silent test call to your business number and checks that it reaches her. This takes about 30 seconds, so keep the app open. If you didn't actually switch forwarding on yet, tap I didn't activate call forwarding to go back.

When it passes, you'll see Call forwarding is on, with three lines confirming what she now does for you. Tick the box — I'll switch forwarding off if I stop using Juney — to confirm you understand calls will keep coming here until you turn forwarding off yourself. Done stays greyed out until you tick it.

If you see "Calls aren't reaching us yet", it means the test call landed on your own voicemail instead of Juney. Tips shown on this screen:

  • Switch it on (or dial the code) from the business phone itself — your carrier only listens to changes made from the line being forwarded.
  • Check the number you entered is exactly your Juney number.
  • Prepaid plans often can't forward calls — check with your provider that your plan can.

Tap Test my line again to retry, or I'll sort it later to carry on and come back to it another time.

If you see "You've checked enough for today", you've used the 3 line checks you get each day. Your forwarding may be fine — wait until tomorrow, or ring your business number yourself from another phone to check it's working.

If you see "We couldn't run the check", Juney couldn't start the test call — for example, your line isn't set up yet. The screen says why.
