How call forwarding works with Juney
Why Juney uses call forwarding, what the status line on your Forwarding row means, and what stays the same on your phone.
Juney gives your business its own number behind the scenes. You switch on call forwarding with your carrier, so calls to your business number go to that Juney number, where Juney answers. Open Settings, and under Your line tap Forwarding to see it all in one place — the sheet's own subtitle puts it plainly: "Forwarding is what sends calls to Juney. Your number never changes and nothing is ported."
What the Forwarding sheet shows
- Business number — the number your customers ring. This never changes, and it isn't editable here.
- Forwarding — a status line, plus a Test again button. See below for what each status means.
- Carrier — the carrier Juney has steps for. Tap it to change it (see Change your carrier).
What the status line means
- On · verified x ago — forwarding is switched on and Juney last confirmed it with a real test call x minutes, hours or days ago.
- Off · paused — you've paused Juney (see Take a break from Juney). Calls ring your own phone again.
- Off · not set up yet — you haven't switched forwarding on yet.
What this means for your phone
- Your business number never changes. Customers keep ringing the number they know.
- All calls are forwarded, not just missed ones. Once forwarding is on, your own phone doesn't ring for business calls at all.
- Your carrier controls forwarding, not Juney. Juney can't switch it on or off for you — you do it on your phone, using the steps for your carrier.
- Logging out doesn't stop forwarding. Juney keeps answering until you switch forwarding off yourself. See Sign in and log out.
