How scenarios work

Scenarios tell Juney how to handle each kind of call, from the moment she picks up to the moment she hangs up.

A scenario is one kind of call you get: a new job, an emergency, someone changing a booking, a supplier. For each one, you tell Juney what callers usually say, and what she should do.

In the app, your scenarios live in one place. Open the Juney tab, then under When she answers, tap Why they're calling. The screen follows a call from start to finish, in three parts:

  1. She picks up. Your greeting, the first thing every caller hears. See Set your greeting.
  2. Why they're calling. Your scenarios, one for each reason people ring. See Set up a scenario.
  3. She wraps up. How she ends the call, and whether she hangs up herself. See Set how Juney ends a call.

How Juney picks a scenario

As the caller explains why they're calling, Juney matches what they say against the examples you gave for each scenario, then does what that scenario says. If nothing matches, she takes a message with their number and what they need.

What a scenario can do

Each scenario can combine these actions:

  • Asks them: questions she asks in her own words.
  • Tells them: something she says word for word.
  • Puts them through: she transfers the call to a number you choose.
  • Texts them a link: she texts your booking link while they're on the call.
  • Books a job: she books it into your calendar (needs a connected calendar).
  • Changes their booking: she moves or cancels an existing booking (needs a connected calendar).
  • Takes a message: she takes their details for you to call back.

Good to know

  • Scenarios only apply when Juney is answering normally. When she's taking a voicemail (see Choose who answers your calls), she only takes a message, whatever your scenarios say.
  • Start with the three or four calls you get most. You can add more any time. See Scenario examples.
