Marlie AI Review 2026: Pricing, Plan Catches and Who It Suits

A Marlie AI review for 2026: Marlie pricing at real call volumes, what the $49 plan leaves out, the trial terms and who this AI receptionist suits.

TL;DR

  • Marlie (marlie.ai) is a web-dashboard AI receptionist from $49 a month for 250 minutes, then 35¢ a minute (as of October 2026).
  • The $49 plan takes messages and texts a link, but it can't book or put callers through. Both start on the $99 plan.
  • At 150 two-minute calls, Marlie is $66.50 without booking or $99 with it.
  • It suits message-taking at higher volumes, and shops taking about 175 to 300 calls a month that need booking. We found no Marlie app and no independent reviews.

We haven't used Marlie ourselves. This review is built from Marlie's own pricing, FAQ, features, integrations and terms pages, a search of the App Store and Google Play, and a search for public reviews, all checked on 22 October 2026. We've tried to give Marlie credit where its own pages earn it.

How much does Marlie AI cost in 2026?

As of October 2026, Marlie has four self-serve plans from $49 to $399 a month, each with a pool of minutes and a per-minute rate past it, plus custom Enterprise pricing. There's a 14-day free trial and no long-term contract.

Basic$4925035¢Message taking with your questions, one text link per call, reports to 2 emails or phones, spam and robocall screening
Standard$9950035¢Booking with calendar sync, availability checks, rescheduling, transfers to one number, up to 3 actions per call
Pro$1991,00030¢Booking cancellations, transfers to different people or departments, checkout links by text, document uploads, custom data fields
Premium$3992,00025¢An account manager, ringing your team one at a time, several locations, extra numbers

Every plan includes 24/7 answering, simultaneous calls, a custom name and greeting, and call reports by email and text with summaries and transcripts. Source: Marlie's pricing page, checked 22 October 2026.

What would Marlie AI cost at your call volume?

At 30 or 75 two-minute calls a month Marlie costs $49, and at 150 calls $66.50, on the cheapest plan for each month. If you need booking or transfers, the bill is $99 up to 250 calls. These are October 2026 prices, before tax and carrier charges.

Calls a month (2 minutes each)Marlie, cheapest planMarlie with booking and transfersJuney
30 (60 minutes)$49 (Basic)$99 (Standard)$49
75 (150 minutes)$49 (Basic)$99 (Standard)$49
150 (300 minutes)$66.50 (Basic plus 50 minutes at 35¢)$99 (Standard)$89
250 (500 minutes)$99 (Standard)$99 (Standard)$129

How the less obvious ones work out:

  • 150 calls: $49 plus 50 extra minutes at 35¢. Juney is $49 plus two $20 top-ups.
  • 200 calls: Basic would be $101.50, so the $99 plan, which also books, is cheaper. Juney is $109 ($49 plus three $20 top-ups).
  • Booking up to 175 calls: Marlie's $99 costs more than Juney, which books on its $49 plan.

For message-taking alone, Marlie costs the same as Juney or less at every volume in the table. Once you need booking, Juney costs less up to 175 calls a month, and Marlie's $99 plan costs less from there to about 320 calls, when its 35¢ overage catches up with Juney's top-ups. Past that the lead changes hands every few dozen calls, because Juney's top-ups come in steps of 100 minutes: at 400 calls, Juney is $189 and Marlie $199. The same method runs across ten services in AI answering service pricing compared.

What to do: decide first whether you need jobs booked on the call. If you do, compare Marlie's $99 plan, not its $49 one.

What catches are in Marlie's plans?

The main catch is that the $49 plan answers and takes messages but leaves out what a business that books jobs needs. As of October 2026, its plan card says "No call transfer", and booking starts at $99. The rest are smaller:

  • Features climb in steps. The $99 plan books, reschedules and transfers to one number. Canceling a booking for a caller, and transfers to different people or departments, start at $199.
  • Limits on who gets the reports. Basic sends call reports to 2 emails or phones, Standard to 4. A crew of three on Basic can't all get them.
  • One action per call on Basic. It can text a caller one link per call; Standard allows three actions.
  • The trial takes a card. Marlie's FAQ says you add a card at checkout with $0 due, and can cancel before the first charge.
  • A money-back promise with no terms. Its pages pair the trial with a "money-back guarantee", but we found no terms for it on the pricing page, the FAQ or the terms of service (last updated 6 August 2026). Ask before you rely on it.
  • Its own pages disagree on details. The features page claims 50+ languages, while the bilingual page describes English and Spanish. Setup is "10 mins" on one page and "15 minutes" on others.

What to do: on the trial, set a reminder for day 13, and ask Marlie in writing what the money-back guarantee covers.

What does Marlie AI do well?

Marlie gives a lot of minutes for the money and does more on its higher plans than most services we've compared. As of October 2026, from its own pages:

  • 250 minutes for $49. That's 100 more than Juney's 150, and the per-minute rate falls to 30¢ and 25¢ on bigger plans.
  • Spam and robocall screening on every plan.
  • A guided setup with a test call. Marlie pulls your details from your website and Google Business profile, then has you make a test call before going live.
  • Calendars and tools. Booking works with Google Calendar and Calendly, and its integrations page lists over 100 CRMs, including field-service ones, plus Zapier.
  • English and Spanish. Its bilingual page says that, once Spanish is on, it detects which one the caller speaks and answers in that.
  • Room to grow. Higher plans add department routing, checkout links for Shopify and Square, custom data fields, several locations and an account manager.
  • Keep your number. You forward your existing number to a Marlie number, and it works with Google Voice.
  • A longer trial. 14 days, against the 7 that many services offer.

Where does Marlie AI fall short?

Marlie's weak spots are the $99 gate on booking, a setup that lives in a web dashboard, and no public reviews to check it against. For an owner who works from a van, the gate and the dashboard matter most.

  • No phone app. We searched the App Store and Google Play on 22 October 2026 and found no Marlie app. Recordings and transcripts are kept in its web dashboard, and call reports come by email or text.
  • Booking costs $99. A tradesperson who wants jobs booked while they're on the tools pays twice the entry price.
  • 35¢ a minute past the allowance on the $49 and $99 plans.
  • Its showcase isn't the trades. The customer quotes on its pricing page come from restaurants and a driving school, though it has pages for plumbers, HVAC, roofers and electricians.

What to do: on the trial, change one answer (your call-out fee, say) from your phone's browser between jobs, and see how long it takes.

What do Marlie AI's users say?

We couldn't find independent reviews we could read. On 22 October 2026 Marlie had no app on either store, so there are no app ratings; Trustpilot had no page for it; and G2 blocked our request. Marlie's own pricing page quotes customers with percentage gains we can't check, so we haven't repeated them.

That doesn't make Marlie better or worse, only harder to judge from the outside. The 14-day trial is the best evidence you'll get: run it on your real calls and read every call report.

Who is Marlie AI a good fit for?

Marlie fits a business that mostly needs calls answered and messages taken at a steady volume, or a busy shop taking about 175 to 300 calls a month that needs booking. It also suits owners who book in Calendly or have Spanish-speaking callers. As of October 2026:

  • Message-taking at 75 to 150 calls: 250 minutes for $49 costs less than Juney past 75 calls.
  • About 175 to 300 calls with booking: the $99 plan's 500 minutes undercut Juney's top-ups.
  • Calendly, or a CRM: both connect.
  • Spam-heavy lines: screening is on every plan.

It's a weaker fit if you want booking on a budget, if you'd rather set it up and check it from your phone, or if you want to read other owners' reviews before you commit.

When is Juney a better fit, and when isn't it?

Juney fits an owner-operator, especially in the trades, who wants jobs booked into Google Calendar and urgent callers put through for $49, set up and run from a phone app. Marlie fits better if you mostly need messages taken at higher volumes, take about 175 to 300 calls a month and need booking, or book in Calendly. The side-by-side detail is on Juney vs Marlie.

As of October 2026, Juney is $49 a month, or $490 for a year paid upfront, with 150 minutes a month, then top-ups of 100 minutes for $20, bought in the app, which don't expire. Booking into Google Calendar and putting callers through come on that plan, and a 7-day free trial includes 50 answering minutes. There's no setup fee and no contract.

The differences that matter most:

  • Booking and transfers at $49. Juney books, moves and cancels jobs in Google Calendar, and puts urgent callers through to a second number you choose, such as a partner's mobile, after telling whoever answers who's calling.
  • Set up on the phone. Juney is an iPhone and Android app with no web dashboard. You link your website, check what Juney learned, hear it on a test call, set what happens for each kind of call, and follow the forwarding steps for your carrier.
  • Ring me first, if you choose. In Ringing mode, choose Ring me first and the Juney app rings you for about 15 seconds. Answer it and the call is yours, using none of your minutes; let it ring out and Juney answers.
  • Its limits. Google Calendar is the only calendar it books into. It speaks English, with American, British or Australian voices, and works with business numbers in the US, UK, Australia and Canada. It handles calls: it texts callers booking links and follow-ups, but customers' own texts still come to you. There's no automatic spam screening (you block numbers by hand) and no human backup.

Juney is built by Trillet, the voice AI platform trusted by over 4,000 businesses. Plans and the trial are on Juney's pricing.
